Silent Psychology

A new wave of therapy involves brain-based reprocessing, letting the brain integrate negative overwhelming experiences and building new pathways. EMDR is the grand-daddy of these, but now there is also Autosonomic Training, Brainspotting, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and others. These therapies work with a minimum of talking and help the negative emotional loops, trigger points, and other unpleasant impacts of trauma, chronic shame, and interpersonal abuse. One client called it "tricky psychology" because it works to make healing connections without any conscious effort while all we do is bear nonjudgmental witness to the unfolding process.
